Hand selected by Owner/Director Miss Becca, these students show outstanding leadership skills, compassion towards others, eagerness to learn and are excellent role models both in the studio and out for younger students. We are proud to have them as part of The Next Step Faculty! In class, Proteges take attendance, assist instructors with demonstrations and help to ensure every students needs are met in class! Halee is a junior in High School. She started dance at the age of eleven and hasnt stopped yet. The best thing she did was to come to THE NEXT STEP DANCE STUDIO. She loves Miss Becca and feels she has really grown as a strong dancer in the past two years while studying her at this Studio. Halee is honored by this title, with that title she gets to train as a teachers assistant in many classes, grooming her to be a potential Instructor. She helps students in class that have questions or trouble learning the steps, as well as keeping the students on task for the instructor.

Clarissa has a deep passion for dancing and is especially drawn to ballet. She enjoys the challenges dance brings and finds great rewards in mastering technique. Compassionate about working with children and helping others, she loves assisting Miss Rhiannon. She is excited to learn the teaching skills and methods of such a well rounded Ballet Program. Coming to The Next Step Dance Studio has helped her grow in many ways. Clarissa appreciates the positive environment Miss Becca and faculty create here and is glad to be a part of The Next Step Family.

Laurel Assists:
Laurel began dancing with The Next Step Dance Studio when it opened in 2008. She chose The Next Step as she is confident it is the best choice for her dance education. Laurel aspires to find a profession in the dance world. She feels dance is a large part of who she is as an individual. She finds dance intriguing as it combines athleticism with art. Laurel excels in being a positive roll model as not only does she make positive choices for herself, she is also an honor roll student. She loves Miss Becca, her classes, and feels greatful to be a Protege at The Next Step Dance Studio!
