Miss Rhiannon ~ Artistic Director
Miss Rhiannon Archerelle
Artistic Director - Instructor
Miss Rhiannon studied Sports Medicine under Dale Blair at Wenatchee High School in 1994-1995; A&P as well as Kinesiology again at Ashmead College in 2001. Coming from a long line of dancers, she is the daughter of a nurse who was a previous corps dancer with the Oakland City Ballet.. Miss Rhiannon was born in New Mexico and raised in Wenatchee . She studied dance for 12 years,. amongst those she was taught by the very best in the valley. She attended the Joan Shelton School of Ballet, performing several roles in The Nutcracker. Additionally, she studied with Gigi Partridge, who became one of her greatest mentors. She has participated in RAD workshops as well as at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. She is beginning her seventh year as a ballet instructor and has taught at L'Academie de Danse Classique under Director & Owner Peggy Lancaster, at The Wenatchee School of Ballet under direction of Gigi Partridge, and at Fabulous Feet Dancer Studio under Melissa Miller before relocating to Seattle.
During the ten years Rhiannon resided in Seattle, she shifted from ballet to "Free-style" dancing, including "popping" and "locking". By the end of her third year of free-style, she was a well reputed dancer who always drew a crowd and was invited to several competitions. Her musical background includes choir, clarinet, saxophone, classic DJ'ing (turntables and vinyl), and the ability to compose, cut and edit electronic music. An artists of many genres, her hobbies include photography, graphic design, web design and costume design. She was the main photographer for the 2009-2010 TNS School of Ballet Annual Calendar Fundraiser and designed this website.
Rhiannon is also a Mother of two, graced with a son and a daughter. She has a good amount of experience working in a teaching environment as besides her seven years of teaching ballet, she has experience as a daycare manager and was a weekly volunteer at Salmon Creek Elementary (Burien) while her son was in Kindergarten. Rhiannon has taken courses in Early Childhood Development, Child Guidance and Psychology at Renton Technical College, Pierce Community College and Wenatchee Valley Community College. In 2003 she was an assistant soccer coach for the Normandy Park YMCA under Brian Incitti. Miss Rhiannon is also a Certified Pilates Intructor through the American Sports and Fitness Association. Through all of her experiences, Rhiannon has discovered her natural talents and is able to joyously combine them with her passions of dance, music, artistic expression and guiding tomorrow's leaders at The Next Step Dance Studio. Previous students are currently Studio Owners, Instructors, attending Dance Programs at multiple Universities, have been accepted through audition into Summer Intensives at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Evergreen City Ballet, ISCB, Los Angeles Ballet, and ABT. Her most recent Protege was accepted into the Pre-Professional Program at The International School of Ballet in Kirkland.

Miss Cassy ~ Instructor
Cassy started dancing at an early age. She has an incredible drive and thoroughly enjoys staying fit and healthy as dance the gym are part of her daily routine. Miss Cassy has studied under Miss Becca since the age of 9 and is now excited to be on her staff as an instructor. Her favorite styles of dance are Hip Hop and Contemporary for their intense strength, form, and diversity.
Miss Cassy really enjoys her job has a dance instructor; its a rewarding experience and one that teaches her a lot as well! She has attended many competitions throughout her life and she recently attended the PULSE in New York City with THE NEXT STEP and as a NEXT STEP DANCE COMPANY DANCER was featured at the PULSE SHOWCASE in Denver CO last March.

Miss Becca
Miss Rebecca Romero

Brings her love and passion for dance as the Owner and Director of The Next Step Dance
Studio. Miss Becca has been a performer all her life. She started taking ballet, tap and jazz lessons at the age of three and never looked back. Vocally Miss Becca has trained with Leslie McEwen and has received honors as a vocalist. Her highest vocal achievement landed her a spot in the Women’s Select All Northwest Honor’s Choir. Miss Becca performed with Leavenworth Summer Musical Theater for seven years. Miss Becca has had the opportunity to compete in both regional and national dance competitions.
At age 20 Miss Becca moved to California to pursue her dancing career at the Edge Performing Arts Center and the Millennium Dance Complex in Hollywood. She trained with famous choreographers seen on TV today, such as Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, Tyce Diorio, Chris Judd and Mia Michaels. Miss Becca has kept her dance skills current through dance workshops in Dallas, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles and New York City. Traveling to workshops has provided the golden opportunity to train under several of the most sought after choreographers who work for FOX network’s “So You Think You Can Dance”.
There is no other place in the world Becca would rather be than the Wenatchee Valley. Miss Becca is being sought after as a choreographer for local Musical Theater Productions. This year Miss Becca will work with Paul Atwood and Wenatchee School Fall District’s Musical Production. Award Nomination: Miss Becca has been nominated for a Junior Tony Award by the 5th Avenue Theater of Seattle for best choreography in a High School Musical. Miss Becca choreographed Wenatchee High School’s Musical Production of The King and I.
Audition Selection: The Next Step Dance Studio received a select invitation to perform a dance at The Pulse Showcase in Denver Colorado.

Miss Laurel
Laurel Jones has been dancing for 9 years, she is 17 years old and a junior at Wenatchee High school. She has been trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Broadway. She has taken classes from famous dancers/choreographers such as: Brain Friedman, Wade Robson, Chris Judd, Dave Scott, Laurianne Gibson, Allison Holker, and Gil Duldulao. She has attended the Pulse Convention in New York, and Denver, as well as The Company Dance Convention/ Competition Tour in Seattle. Laurel's favorite style of dance is Jazz. She loves having the opportunity to teach and be around kids, while doing what she loves!
